Wave Mechanics Union

Wave Mechanics Union is an eclectic, modern big band with a repertoire exclusively honoring the masterworks of progressive rock, classic rock, and American & British popular music. Praised for their stylish, orchestrated arrangements, more than 40 musicians have contributed to the group's two albums since 2008.

WMU are powered by Lydia McAdams' engaging vocals and the striking orchestrations penned by Ryan Fraley and Ralph Johnson. With first rate jazz charts "smarts," their output is a sophisticated epistle to both the layered density of progressive rock, and the work of adventurous jazz arrangers like Paich, Riddle, and Nestico.
